MSc Science Communication
October 2021 - October 2022
Imperial College London
I am currently studying a Masters in Science Communication at Imperial College London. This is a thoroughly interdisciplinary course that aims to mould students from scientific backgrounds to then become leaders in fields such as Science Journalism, Documentary, and Policy Making. So far I have learnt an enormous amount from this course both practically and theoretically. I have studied academic modules such as Documentary, Science Policy, Science Communication for Development, The Media Representation of Science, and more. I have also created my own documentary and radio piece in my practical modules; Documentary Filmmaking, and Radio.
Research Assistant (Placement Year)
September 2019- September 2020
University of Hong Kong
Carried out an Industrial Placement year working as a Research Assistant in the Conservation Forensics Laboratory at the University of Hong Kong. At HKU, I was involved in a host of field, lab, and research work. This included DNA extractions, PCR’s and sequencing for seized illegal casts of helmeted hornbills that are trafficked in South East Asia for ornaments. As well as extensive fieldwork in trapping the critically endangered Yellow Crested Cockatoo and research on vocalization and socialisation. I also co-authored a paper involving Human-wildlife interactions within Asia that is in review.

Lastly, I carried out my own research project using stable isotope analysis on pangolin scales to aid law enforcement in the fight against the illegal wildlife trade. This work is still ongoing and please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Bsc Zoology (Industrial) - 1st Class Degree with Honours
September 2017 - July 2021
University of Leeds
In 2021 I graduated from the University of Leeds with a 1st Class Honours degree in Zoology. During this degree, I took an Industrial Placement year working at the University of Hong Kong and my dissertation that extended on from work I did during my placement year was graded as a high 1st class level.
